Refund Policy
We want you happy with the Service. This page sets out when you can get a refund, how to ask for one, and the few cases where a refund is not available. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
The short version. Within 14 days of the first paid charge on a new subscription, you can request a full refund. Email support@icvfxtools.com with your Paddle order id and we'll process it through Paddle.
Renewals are not covered by the window. After the window, annual plans may receive a pro-rata refund of unused full months at our discretion. Free Tools are free, so there's nothing to refund.
Once approved, the money lands back in your account on your payment provider's timeline: typically a few business days, occasionally longer depending on your bank and country. Because payments are processed in USD, the amount credited back in your local currency may differ slightly from the original charge due to exchange-rate movement between purchase and refund dates.
1.14-day refund window (new subscriptions only)
For monthly and annual paid subscriptions, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the first paid charge on a new subscription. We will refund that charge in full and cancel the subscription.
"First paid charge" means the very first time Paddle charges your payment method for a given product. The 14-day clock starts on that charge date, not on the day you activate the licence, install the Software, or first call the API. This is so the window is predictable for both sides.
Renewals are not covered by this window. Once you are past your first paid period, the monthly or annual auto-renewal charge that follows is not eligible for refund under Section 1. If you do not want to renew, cancel before the renewal date and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Annual renewals may still qualify for a discretionary pro-rata refund under Section 3.
If you previously cancelled and later start a brand-new subscription to the same product, that new subscription is treated as a fresh "first paid charge" and gets its own 14-day window.
The refund window applies once per organisation per product per net-new subscription. We may decline repeated buy-then-refund cycles from the same buyer as an anti-abuse measure.
Approving a refund is one step; the money actually arriving in your account is a separate step handled by your bank or payment provider. Timing depends on your payment method and country and is outside our control. See Section 5 for typical processing times. Because payments are processed in USD, the amount credited back to your card or account in your local currency may differ slightly from the original charge due to exchange-rate movement between the purchase date and the refund date.
2.How to claim a refund
- Find your Paddle receipt email. It is sent from Paddle at the time of charge and includes your order id (format
txn_XXXXXXXXXX). - Email support@icvfxtools.com with the subject line “Refund request”. Include your Paddle order id and the email address used at purchase.
- We will acknowledge within 1 business day and process the refund through Paddle. You do not need to share any payment-card details with us.
- Once processed, your subscription is cancelled and your access ends within 24 hours.
Alternatively, you can reach Paddle directly through the link in your receipt email; Paddle will forward the request to us.
3.Annual subscriptions (pro-rata)
The first paid charge on a new annual subscription is covered by the 14-day window in Section 1: full refund of the annual charge if requested within 14 days.
After the 14-day window, you can still cancel at any time, but the annual charge is not automatically refunded. At our discretion and in good faith we may offer a pro-rata refund of unused full months only, calculated as:
(annual price paid) × (whole unused months remaining) ÷ 12
Partial months are not refundable. For example, if you cancel
an annual subscription 4 months and 10 days into the term, you
may be offered a refund of 7 / 12 of the annual
price (7 whole unused months). The 5th month, even though only
partially used, is treated as used.
Pro-rata refunds are granted at our discretion, not as a right, and require:
- your account is in good standing and not in breach of the Terms;
- the request is made in good faith (e.g. business closure, switch of toolchain) rather than as a way of getting the annual discount and refunding the remainder;
- the request is received at least 30 days before the end of the current annual term;
- the subscription has not previously received a pro-rata refund in the same annual term.
Annual renewals do not reset the 14-day window. Only the very first paid charge on a brand-new annual subscription is eligible for the Section 1 full refund. Renewal charges fall under the pro-rata terms above. If you do not want to renew, cancel before the renewal date and you will keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
4.What is not refundable
- Renewal charges (monthly auto-renew, annual auto-renew), except where granted at our discretion under Section 3 for annual plans.
- First paid charges older than 14 days, except as set out in Section 3 (annual pro-rata) or required by law.
- Subscriptions terminated by us for your breach of the Terms (for example, sharing licence keys, attempting to circumvent licence enforcement, abusing API quotas, or other material breach).
- Custom development work, setup help, training, or other paid services after the work has been delivered.
- Taxes that have already been remitted to a tax authority by Paddle, where Paddle's process does not permit reclaim. Paddle will refund such taxes where they can.
- Third-party charges (your bank's foreign-transaction fees, currency-conversion fees, etc.) and any loss caused by exchange-rate movement between the purchase date and the refund date.
- Free Tools, because they were free.
- Plugins purchased on the Unreal Engine Fab Marketplace. Fab is operated by Epic Games and is the seller of record for those purchases; refund requests must be made through Fab under Epic Games' refund policy. We cannot process Fab refunds.
5.Processing time
Once we approve a refund and Paddle processes it, the funds typically appear on your statement within:
- 3-5 business days for cards;
- 5-10 business days for PayPal;
- 5-15 business days for bank transfers / SEPA.
Exact timing depends on your bank or payment provider. Paddle will email you a refund confirmation with the transaction reference.
6.Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please email support@icvfxtools.com first. We will respond within 1 business day and almost always resolve the issue immediately.
Filing a chargeback with your bank without first contacting us is more expensive for everyone and slower for you. We reserve the right to:
- provide evidence to your bank in defence of the charge;
- suspend or terminate the Service for the buyer while the dispute is being reviewed;
- recover the disputed amount and any chargeback fees as a debt if the chargeback is later resolved in our favour.
7.Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer in your country of residence, including any right of withdrawal under EU or UK consumer law. Where the law gives you a longer or stronger right than this policy, that law prevails and we will honour it.
For EU and UK consumers, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) or the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 may be lost where you have expressly agreed to immediate access of the digital content and acknowledged loss of the right of withdrawal at checkout. We do not rely on this exclusion: our 14-day refund window in Section 1 is offered to all consumers regardless of jurisdiction.
8.Custom orders
Multi-Master site licences and quoted custom work are governed by the specific terms in the relevant order form or master agreement. Where those terms differ from this policy, the order-form terms control for that order.
